In the Watch app, Apple’s HealthKit is used to collect heart rate and exercise data, and at the end of a run, the workout is saved to Healthkit.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

This app is the worst app I have ever downloaded on my phone . My son has participated in many marathons and this has to take the cake for the most useless tracking app I have ever seen …., and to think this LA Marathon is from the tech mecca of America ?! You gotta be kidding !
Did not work for me
We thought we could follow an LA marathon runner using this app. Did not work at all.
Useless App
My event was listed but that was all. No course map. Wasn’t able to access any of my “digital package “. A total waste of time! Good thing the Tough Mudder Team sent everything by email. Now I’m wondering if any of the pictures will be retrievable as nothing else in the app worked at all!
