ArtStation App 17+

It’s incredibly buggy most of the time I can’t scroll down to view and like someones art it also doesn’t tell me when someone follows me or when someone likes my art or who liked it.

I used to love this app and it was my goto source for references and inspiration. But recent releases are making the app less and less usable, with some behavior simply annoying. Here’s my pet peeves:

1. By default the app opens in Activity screen which contains a full screen feed of artwork. This reduces information density compared to a tile screen. I have to tap on Discover icon to see the tiled overview.

2. Tile overview opens on Trending tab. It doesn't remember my preference or even the last view used.

3. Changing the view to Following now requires three taps (open drop down, select view, click done). This filter should be just a tab group which switch with a single tap.

4. Opening tile image to full screen view now have a weird behavior. I used to be able to tap on an image to zoom it and move it around. Now tapping doesn't do anything. I can zoom with the fingers but then only vertical scrolling works. Scrolling horizontally moves to the next artist/artwork.

5. Comments are now shown right below the images, making for a very busy screen. I believe they used to be hidden until you tap the comments button.

6. This one was there since version one: in the full screen view the artists name and the back arrow are two close to each other and you often go to artist profile instead going back.

I hope that Ballistiq will spend some time on making UI less cluttered and more accessible.

This app is good but there’s some bugs.. links in comments/description are not clickable so we can’t navigate from a post to link. Sometimes the comments section bugged on my ipad and it’s tilting permantly
