Missing a must feature
Like the app. I’ve been using it for over a year now. It’s helpful overall, but a few improvement are necessary.
1. Most important a calendar view for organizing your outfits. Would like to choose outfits in advance for the week.
2. Clothing database has limits and doesn’t alway recognize a clothing item properly. It might be helpful to send items not recognized to the developer for improvements.
3. Would like a recommended shopping list for each capsul. If the app could automatically analyze your capsul and make a shopping list of items that would compliment what you have, that would be awesome!
4. Likewise if it could suggest removal of items that do not fit your capsul, that would also be great.
5. It would be great to put in body type metrics and get a list of clothing that would work for your body type. I know AI can do this but images would be better.
6. Lastly, this should be my number two complaint, but accessories should be included in the overall outfit generator. As a fashion illiterate I do not know how to accessorize. 😊
free tier sucks
It’s not necessary to have this kind of app so I don’t want to pay $8 a month for it. I uploaded nearly all of my clothes and this took me a long time. I realized it couldn’t generate outfits without uploading shoes so I inserted some, to realize when suggesting outfits it only suggests one outfit at a time. To load or generate more you have to scroll so far just to get or more outfit. After loading many outfits, I noticed on the free tier it suggests the same number of outfits and it repeats. For example, I have about 30 sweaters uploaded and only 5 were used in the outfit suggestions consistently. It just repeated a cycle. The rest of the features in premium aren’t necessary but are fun to have, but this aspect of the app is awful.
Keep going
I started using Cladwell way before the pandemic. The app was free then and it was already amazing. Many of my friends started using the app after my raving about it. Stopped using it during the pandemic and am coming back now after 3 years. The app is still great and easy to use. Some suggestions for improvement follows especially now that it’s paid:
1. I’d love for the app to suggest the clothes in a capsule based on the items logged in my closet, as opposed to adding items I dont have.
2. The app could also make items to buy suggestions. This was something you guys had it in the free version of the app and I really loved that. It helped me buy items to complement my wardrobe.
3. More metadata for added clothes would be great too and have it shown as we are adding items to the closet.
4. Have caps lock as the default when adding names to custom items.
