Description

Easily and securely control your smart home using your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, HomePod, Apple TV, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

Features

Home tab makes it easier to navigate, organize, view and control all your smart home accessories.

Categories for climate, lights, security, speakers and TVs, and water allow for quick access to all the accessories for that specific category.

A multi-camera view displays up to four cameras in the Home tab and you can scroll to view additional cameras.

Guest access provides date- and time-based access to locks, garage doors, and alarm systems for visitors in the Home app.*

Robot vacuum cleaners can be added to the Home app and used in scenes and automations. Or just use Siri to "clean the living room.”**

Activity History lets you see a recent history for garage door, door lock, security systems, and contact sensor events.***

Grid Forecast uses data from your local electric grid to show when it will be running on cleaner sources, so you can plan when to charge devices or run appliances. (Contiguous US Only)

Electricity usage and rate plan information are displayed for eligible customers when connecting their utility account to the Home app, starting with PG&E in California. (US only)

Siri makes it easy to use your voice to control accessories. Say a phrase like “Lock the front door,” “Play jazz in the living room,” or create a scene and say “Good night” to turn off all your lights.

Control Center gives you quick access to your favorite accessories and scenes and a dedicated and customizable section for additional accessories and scenes.

HomePod and Apple TV are home hubs that manage your home while you’re away. Automatically run scenes and control accessories based on your location, the time of day, a sensor detection, or the action of an accessory.

HomeKit Secure Video**** lets you view live video and recordings as well as get notifications when people, pets, vehicles, or packages are detected from your cameras or video doorbell. View a 10-day recording history in the Home app, and you can share or save recordings.

Adaptive lighting***** lets you set compatible lightbulbs to automatically adjust their color temperature throughout the day to maximize comfort and productivity. Wake up in the morning to warm colors, stay alert midday with cooler tones, and wind down at night by removing blue light.

Accessories compatible with the Matter smart home connectivity standard are supported seamlessly in the Home app alongside your HomeKit-enabled accessories, so you can control them easily and securely using the Home app and Siri on your Apple devices.

* Requires the updated version of Apple Home and an Apple TV or HomePod acting as a home hub. Guests need to be using the latest iOS version with iCloud enabled.
**Available for homes using the updated version of Apple Home and requires a Matter-certified robot vacuum cleaner. Automations require an Apple TV or HomePod acting as a home hub. Control with Siri will be available in English (U.S.) only.

Use to work

Apple always has the habit of not supporting software and hardware made by others companies. I’ve always been an Apple fan but with the vast options of tech we have at our disposal from health care, smart homes, fitness, etc. They need to start playing nice with other tech companies and stop trying to control there ecosystem. It are only thinking of themselves and they mighty $. This is the star of the end for me Apple.

Absolute cluster fudge of an app

Counter intuitive nightmare to set up anything. I simply want to set a light to turn on and off when we are away on vacation and I gave up. Why do i have to sift through forums or watch youtube tutorials to do something so simple
