Could use some more features
I got a subscription to CuriosityStream and Nebula to avoid ads from my favourite content creators and to discover new ones. I'm enjoying that side of the experience, however I wish Nebula had subtitles, adjustable video speed, and miniplayer like the YouTube app. As such, the video experience almost feels like a downgrade, even if the content is excellent.
Won’t be sticking around…
Love the idea of a YouTube alternative and better support to the creators, but not allowing the community to comment on videos is a deal breaker for me. I have heard people saying that they don’t want the toxic comments of YouTube. Fair, but for me this is a cheap excuse. Comments are a very powerful way to communicate thoughts, corrections, additions and ask questions. Nebula without comments is like half the YouTube experience.
