Good App
Definitely tracks dive well. Accurate with my dedicated dive computer. Looking at stats for the day a bit confusing as it adds the depth together for the day and then gives a total depth to date which doesn’t make sense nor is useful. It does clearly show the safety stop time and shows the no fly time as an optional notification. With some tweaks it will be excellent.

I mean, I guess it works
But wow is this a frustrating app to use. I’m an Instructor, so obviously I want a fancy dive computer as I dive frequently.
Things wrong:
- To start, it will crash 2-3 times when you open it. That’s embarrassing.
- It never remembers my units so when I’m showing my logbook it’ll make me go and update it on my watch.
- Even with the subscription, sometimes it thinks you don’t have an active subscription so it’ll restrict you to snorkelling. You’re in the water, so what are you going to do to change that.
- BATTERY LIFE. I’m genuinely impressed that this app can kill the entire watch battery in a day. 100% charge, and you’ll be lucky to make it last the day. Especially on snorkelling mode or if you’re up and down. Like you do teaching, for example.
- Lastly, and this is more of a suggestion, can we please have a pool mode?? I’m an instructor, so I’m up and down and all around for many hours in the pool and it *might* register 15 mins or so. More likely is that it will get into a mode where it won’t do dive mode because it wants a setting, and I can’t change it because I have to pay attention to my students.
I was so excited for this app, because dive computers have needed innovative for years. This is a start, but wow is there a long way to go.
Great if you don’t want to take video
Took this case with me on a dive trip to La Paz for my iPhone 15 pro with iOS 17.1.1. First dive partially worked then the app froze and I had to open the case and force close the app. Of course out of cellular range the software will not allow you to do the on boarding procedure without a signal because it needs to confirm that you have a paid subscription. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling once back on land, tried calling support they were of no help. Even after 3 updates, software is very choppy when trying to take 4K video. Image stabilization does not work. I thankfully had my sea life SportDiver case as a backup because I never got the oceanic+ case to work even slightly for the 10 dives. I have since returned it. If they can fix the software I will buy it again. Do not take this unit as your only option on a dive trip you will be disappointed!!!
