Videos wont load on phone network, Pathetic customer service
Smart STB has been a huge disappointment on my iPhone. The app simply refuses to load any videos when WiFi is turned off, even though I have a strong 5G+ connection and plenty of mobile data. Not only does my paid portal fail, but even the demo portal doesn’t play anything. This makes the app unusable on mobile data, which defeats the purpose of having it on a phone.
When I reached out to support, the responses were unhelpful, vague, and at times outright rude. It was clear they didn’t read my message or understand the issue. Instead of troubleshooting, they sent irrelevant replies and showed no willingness to assist. Based on my experience and other user reviews, poor customer service seems to be a recurring issue with Smart STB.
For an app that requires a paid license, this level of technical unreliability and lack of support is unacceptable. I do not recommend Smart STB to anyone who expects to use it on mobile data or needs responsive customer service.
Pros:
• Works on WiFi (sometimes)
• Supports multiple portals
Cons:
• Does not work on mobile data (5G+)
• Even demo portal fails to load videos without WiFi
• Extremely poor and rude customer support
• Paid app with unresolved critical issues
I hope the developers address these problems and improve both the app’s reliability on mobile networks and the quality of their customer service. Until then, I suggest looking for alternative IPTV apps.
