Very helpful app :)
Its such a great app for editing and looking at statistics! Amazing layout, easy to find different features etc. However, it would be super helpful if there was an upload feature. One of the only reasons i got the app was to upload and premiere a video, since the layout on the website on iPhone is really hard to get around.
That said, i highly recommend it for looking at comments and reviews on the video :)
Not as good as it was
The recent navigation changes to the Content tab (in which you must first select Videos or Playlists) introduce unnecessary steps to the most common tasks of uploading content and checking how many times a newly-uploaded video has been viewed. Similarly, replacing the Comments tab with Communities reveals a basic lack of understanding of the needs of content creators and users (who simply Comment and rarely view Playlists). Two other annoying features when uploading content are the need to actively turn On the Comments feature (on the next screen, naturally) and the dangerous habit the app has of defaulting to Public uploads, meaning you have to remember to double-check this field every time you upload a video. In general, while this is a useful app, it suffers from corporate bloat and should be much better than it actually is, not getting worse at every update.
It’s pretty good, but I can’t add video end screens.
The app itself is good, it allows me to access my analytics and video details easily. It also makes it convenient to edit things like the thumbnails and tags, which is great. However, as someone who does almost all of my work on my ipad, I find it vexing that I cannot add end screens to the videos, and I have to access them on a computer to do so. This means that I cannot set my videos to be public and complete from the app and I have to delay uploading until I can gain access to a computer.
Apart from that, the only complaints I have is that I can’t upload from the app and that comments are frequently marked as spam, and not shown as notifications, resulting in me not responding to them for long periods of time, even months.
But the main thing for me is the end screens. Apart form them, the app is good.
