I recently started using apple device , and unfortunately, it has been a disappointing experience this File app., this application consistently freezes, making it nearly impossible to use for any extended period. This frequent freezing disrupts workflow and causes significant frustration.

Furthermore, the application fails to support many commonly used format types. This lack of compatibility is a major drawback, as it limits the utility of the application for a variety of tasks and file types that are standard in many other alternatives.

Overall, it needs significant improvements in stability and compatibility to be considered a reliable and functional tool. Until these issues are addressed, I cannot recommend it for serious use.

I use this to do worksheets online for school and randomly in the middle of me writing it resets or glitches (not sure) and erases everything I wrote after the last time I clicked ‘done’. It’s super annoying and happens a LOT. Please fix this

The page bar is actually useful for me when reading very long files because I can see what page it is and go straight there without too much scrolling.

And there’s several other tiny bugs within the app that aren’t as annoying as the markup one but still are annoying. For example if I am editing a text box I added in the file and I go to a different app and then come back, I will press edit again and the keyboard won’t show up. I have to close the app and find the file again for it to work properly. And sometimes with the ‘controls bar’ thing at the top (not sure what it’s called, where you can see the pencils and other tools for markup) will sometimes glitch and the contents of i will move depending on what tool you select. So if I use the normal default pen then I can’t see the colors because they’re weirdly cut off for some reason. And suddenly there is a lot of space before undo and redo buttons.

These are just minor bugs I can fix by closing and reopening the app but they’re still kind of annoying, please fix this

It is such a bad experience with Apple with so much trust. I bought this iPad and used files app as my soul app to have my notes in it. After annotating several files on one worst day, I open to see that 75% of my files were lost. This was never expected from the Apple supported app like this, and it has several glitches also, despite that we have used it so that we have trusted Apple that much when contacting Apple customer care and they push it upon you that unless and until you deleted, they would be lost, but after seeing several reviews on the App Store, now I get it. How worst is this app and how blindly have believed it without seeing the reviews, all my hard work gone into vain. my main suggestion for any med student here is never keep files app as you are soul note making app
