Description
Aqara Home is an app for smart home automation and control. With Aqara Home, you can:
1.
control Aqara accessories anywhere and anytime where there is Internet access;
2.
create homes and rooms and assign accessories to the rooms;
3.
control your Aqara accessories and check the status of connected appliances. For example:
*adjust the brightness of lights and check the power consumption of home appliances;
*monitor the temperature, humidity and air pressure;
*detect water leak, and human movement;
4. create Automations to automate your home. For example:
*set a timer to turn on or off an appliance connected to a smart plug;
*use a Door and Window Sensor to trigger lights: turn on lights automatically when the door opens;
5.
create Scenes to control multiple accessories. For example, add a Scene to turn on multiple lights and fans;
6.
ask Siri to control HomeKit supported Aqara accessories and user defined Scenes;
Aqara Home app supports following Aqara accessories: Aqara Hub, Smart Plug, Wireless Remote Switch, LED Light Bulb, Door and Window Sensor, Motion Sensor, Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Vibration Sensor, and Water Leak Sensor. Please see www.aqara.com for more details.

Honestly Aqara is the best smart home brand so far
There is no other brand that beats Aqara when it comes price-to-“thoughtlessly reliable”. The app is by far the best all types of products smart home app. It’s crazy how well it works while being versatile. I only wish they added better scrubbing abilities to go through camera footage. Maybe a back/forward button when going through footage.
No Privacy!
Thanks to iOS / iPadOS Privacy Report, it shows this App contacts over 800 servers overseas as well as Facebook and other usual suspects!
Interesting discovery is that when I used “whois”to understand who owns some servers used by this App, there was ZERO information because they were registered as “private” domains!
So, our privacy belongs to them but they keep their own privacy away from their customers!
They sell their cameras as compatible with Apple HomeKit but there is no way to get it to work without installing this App!
You must register and allow tons of permissions and of course AGREE to some nonsense and very long Chinese / English “policy”!
After all that, it allows you to configure their camera with HomeKit and if you do it “right”, you can delete your account with them!
So, make sure not to use your primary email address and if you really care, as I do - factory reset your iDevice to fully get rid of this App!
Last but not least, if you follow Apple’s safety and security and own a HomeKit secure router, “Restrict” this camera to HomeKit only.
